I have found that once students feel ownership, the pride of creation and craftsmanship kicks in and more is at stake than “the grade”, it then becomes a product of “who” they are and has their signature on it, like an artist would sign a painting. PLE’s allow them to construct and create a “work of art” per se and very few people wouldn’t feel a sense of pride about that.
